ATTENTION YOUNG RIDERS: Join us this Friday, July 21th for a FREE mountain bike clinic at Hard’ack. Ages 8-18.

Don’t have a bike? Not problem! Local Motion and the Saint Albans Rec Dept. have generously donated over 30 bikes for the occasion! These bikes, as well as helmets, will be available free of purchase. If you do own your own gear and bike, you are more than welcome to use it at the clinic.

Hard’ack has recently been updated with new trails and signs, making it more user friendly. Making this the perfect time for your kids to try out a new hobby.

Education

The mountain bike clinic will be a fun and engaging time for your child to learn more about outdoor sports and recreation. The class will focus on introductory skills, knowledge and safety techniques.

Riders will be divided up into small groups, based on relative skill level. Groups will be formed based on riders ability in the follow categories: braking, ride position (uphill/downhill), shifting, front wheel lift, and tight turns.

All riders must be preregistered for the event. Register by following the link: https://stalbansvt.myrec.com/info/activities/program_details.aspx?ProgramID=30067&AdminPreview=1

More Youth Involvement

FCMTBC has many events and group rides planned for the 2021 season! We will be scheduling adult rides, youth rides and family rides. As well as occasional work parties, where kids are always welcome to come help!
