Weather

Living in Vermont means you never know what the weather has in store for you from day to day, or even hour to hour. Knowing the weather predictions can change how you go about your day.

If you travel any distance to go to a trail network, it is best to know what the weather conditions are going to be that day.

This can help you prepare, and give you more knowledge on what you need to pack to have a successful day of riding. A simple rain jacket could turn a cold miserable rain into a Splash Kingdom adventure.

Trail Status

It is always best for riders to check the open status of trails before riding them. This can keep the rider safe, as well as avoiding damage to the trails.

A trail can be closed for many reasons. If it had just rained, and the trails had began to wash away, the trails may be closed to avoid further erosion. Or if a tree has recently fallen in a dangerous area and had not been cleared yet, the trail would be closed for rider safety.

To check the status of the trails you plan to ride, check out TrailHub.
